Luke with tripod. After this picture I turned around for a few minutes and when I came back the tripod was in 5 pieces.
Luke with remote. He likes remotes almost as much as he likes cell phones.

This is where Luke sat for meals.
Mariposa Grove is a hike near the Wawona campground with a lot of really big trees, including the Grizzly Giant... The kids on a fence.
After all that walking we decided to cool off in the freezing cold river near our campsite...

Our campsite -- complete with campfire, table, and food container to keep the bears out...We roasted yummy s'mores...
Luke loved his storage bin bath!
...and his bear sleeper that kept him warm through the cold nights...

Here's the whole group. John, Rob, Craig, Dave, Missy, Aiden, Joy, Dawson, Levi, Candice, Alec, Brian, Megan, Natalie, and Luke. Nick and Chad are difficult to see -- they're standing at the top of Nevada Falls in the distance.
This would be a nice view even without the big landmarks... add half dome and all the waterfalls and it's just unbelievable.
The guys...
The gals...

Luke helped us pack for the trip. We found out that bringing a baby along adds about 5x to the packing list.
The 4Runner was stuffed full! So full that we had to make a last minute run to Target for a roof rack luggage carrier.
Luckily the 4 couples split up the food duties so we only have to bring food for one day.

Luke dressed up nice and made mom a cool card for mother's day.
He even picked a flower to give to his mommy.

Natalie took my mom and gram out for a Mother's Day brunch at the Filoli Center.
They had a great time eating and walking the beautiful grounds.
While they were out, us men went out to the pub for beer and calzones...

Luke got to ride in a plane again up to Seattle. After 6 months of training, he's become quite a savy traveller...After meeting up with Stephen, Lori, and Nick, they drove down to Salem, Oregon for the graduation.
And Luke had another room to explore at Steph and Caleb's place.
